Diana Romano
Diana Romano is a contemporary painter whose work lives at the intersection of rigorous classical training and bold, unfiltered emotional expression. Born in Ukraine, Diana earned her Master’s degree in Fine Arts in Kyiv before moving to the United States in 2016 to establish her professional studio.Diana’s creative process is defined by high stakes and relentless evolution—she is an artist who refuses to play it safe, frequently layering, stripping back, or completely painting over canvases with gesso to find the raw, underlying truth of a piece. This dramatic tension results in powerful, highly structured works filled with texture, vibrant color depth, and visual drama. Since 2020, her original collections have become a premier fixture at juried fine art festivals across the Chicago area, attracting a dedicated community of private collectors who value art that challenges the space it holds.
